help me select between a fuji absolute and a diamondback insight hybrid bike?

So I am looking for a bike to go to work (2-3 miles) and go to the trails in the cleveland metroparks. So I figured a road bike would be nice. I am willing to spend upto $500. I found a great deal on 2008 Fuji Absolute 2.0 [$500.00] and a decent deal on 2009 diamondback insight one fitness road bike [$400.00]. Here are the links
